ABOUT

Born and raised in Detroit, the daughter of an automobile designer, early on I realized I didn't like to draw cars! But, I loved to draw just about everything else!  A five year stint as a cartoonist led to a full time job as a daily illustrator at The Detroit News.

My art journey brought me to Belgium where, for two years, I illustrated books that missionaries used around the world. While there I met and later married my husband Bill who soon became a foreign correspondent for the Associated Press. I also started working for the AP in NYC creating info graphics to accompany news stories.

Our combined journeys found us in NYC, Paris, Amsterdam and Vienna, where he covered world events while I illustrated them as we raised our two kids.

Now, back in the US, I combine my love of art and my love of all-things-kids. I illustrate children's books, puzzles and private commissions while teaching art to aspiring artists from 10 - 80, hoping to inspire the next generation of artists!
